At ILPEA, we carry out functional testing of our products and processes with in-house laboratories at all our production facilities. This capability allows us to accelerate processes, ensure compliance with technical requirements, and improve the final quality of the product.
Critical testing for demanding products
Not all parts are validated in the same way. Depending on the type of component, we apply different test methods, specifically designed to replicate real-world enviroments under extreme conditions.
For technical fluid systems, one of the most relevant tests is the leak test, which verifies that there are no leaks under pressure. We also perform cyclic pressure tests, chemical resistance to fuels, and permeability tests.
In thermal management applications, such as cooling or ventilation tubes, we use chambers that combine extreme temperature and vibration, simulating the real conditions of a vehicle on the road. These tests validate the product’s durability under thermal cycling and mechanical stress.
For sealing profiles, the focus is on clipping tests, which measure the force required for insertion and unclipping of the profile. And also ensure the correct welding of the profiles.
These tools, among many others, allow us to replicate real usage conditions and validate product performance before delivery to the customer.

By centralizing validation in our laboratory, we eliminate delays and costs associated external testing laboratories. This results in a significant reduction in development time and greater flexibility to make adjustments when needed.
Moreover, by controlling every phase of the process internally, we can iterate faster, detect deviations earlier, and ensure complete traceability from extrusion through to validation.
